Linda K. Schroeder graduated from Connecticut College in 1973, with a major in psychology and also studied biology and ecology. After college she professionally trained horses & riders and competed in Dressage and Combined Training events.
Linda and her husband Andy moved to and took over management of the 37-acre forested “Bingham Camp,” the home of original The Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat, in 1984. She also manages an additional 750 acres that includes 2 working farms, and forestland. She was very excited to be able to watch the formation of Dev’s idea for a musical theater workshop in the woods of Salem, from the very beginning. A violinist from the age of 5, Linda has a deep love for music.
Linda brings many years of non-profit experience to the Board. For over 20 years Linda has volunteered for the Salem Land Trust, for the last 9 years as President. Her duties have included land acquisition, stewardship, fundraising, membership, public relations, outreach, editor of the SLT Newsletter and designer and web master of the land trust’s website.
She has been active on various local municipal commissions and other non-profits, Acting as Chairman of the Committee that wrote Salem’s Open Space Plan, the Eightmile River Wild & Scenic Coordinating Committee and is presently a member of the Management Committee for The Nature Conservancy’s Burnham Brook Preserve.
