Live & In Color offers a range of development opportunities including readings, workshops of new work, and paid commissions. Our most sought after opportunity is a one-week Musical Theatre workshop experience in the solitude of Connecticut where a diverse team of artists gather to focus on building a new musical without the distractions or the pressures our industry often inflicts. It is a magical experience for artists to live, eat, work, and play together in a gorgeous estate in the woods—all while coming together to create the art we love.
Our newly founded June Bingham New Playwright Commission provides resources and support toward the creation and development of a new play by early-career women/femme and/or non-binary storytellers. This opportunity will take artists to the gorgeous and secluded Bingham Camp in Connecticut where time is spent developing a two person play with artists in the retreat.
