Tim Teran is a lifelong theater devotee no doubt inspired by his upbringing in a theatrical family (his mother was an actress and his aunt a lighting designer)
He is currently Director, 2t consulting, helping companies develop omnichannel consumer strategies & programs rooted in existing corporate strategic planning processes. He also serves on the Executive Council of Bpeace mentoring entrepreneurs in Guatemala.
From 2006 – February 2015 Tim was a member of Macy’s Management Group (SVP, Chief Consumer Strategy Officer; EVP Corporate Marketing.) Prior to Macy’s, Tim was Managing Director, Consumer Insights & Strategy at Citigroup and a trustee of the Marketing Science Institute. Before that, he was SVP, Strategic Services at Grey Global and a Director of The Advertising Research Foundation.
Tim is a noted speaker & author of numerous papers on how to create and sustain an organizational structure that thrives on change, trends, brand equity, customer loyalty, customer experience, consumer behavior and communications effectiveness . He has frequently guest lectured at a variety of business schools including Columbia, Wharton and Darden (UVA)
He has a BA in “Market Psychology” – an independent major he designed at Oberlin College.
